O God who went before the armies of Israel,
Be with us today also and lead us forward.

When Your cloud filled Solomon’s temple,
The priests could not stand before Your glorious presence.

In former times You spoke through prophets about salvation,
Saying, “I was found by those who sought Me.”

You revealed Your love for mankind through Christ,
And saved us by the blood of the cross.

As You poured out Your Spirit upon the early apostles,
Pour out Your Spirit upon us also and lead us.
