He became the light of the world – our protector and guide.

The angels and shepherds sang new songs of praise.
Rejoicing, praising, and glorifying,
They were carried away in awe and wonder.

He removed our darkness – filling us with light.
He forgave our sins – and made us holy.

The Holy One, the Almighty, our very peace,
The Great, the Exalted, our world’s Redeemer.

He came down from heaven to earth,
And showed His love to all humanity.
